Golf

Additionally to the sun and the sea, which can be enjoyed almost all year round is Golf. Anyone who wants to play golf will find more than 250 golf courses in this country, with about 16 golf courses on the Costa Blanca, most of them with 18 holes, a dozen with 36 holes and the golf course at the Mar Menor in Murcia which has 54 holes. Tennis

When it comes to sports, it’s not just golf, because if Spain has a leading position somewhere, it’s tennis. Champions have not come this far by chance, but their success is partly due to the tennis courts and schools they have had at their disposal. Even if the visitor is not a professional player, he can still find plenty of opportunities for a sporty game of tennis. There are many tennis clubs throughout the Costa Blanca with gravel or grass courts where you can play. Each self-respecting hotel has one or more tennis courts where one can play both daytime and evening. At most of the tennis courts it is possible to take tennis lessons or train with the help of a tennis ball machine. Many tennis clubs organize programs for guests with competitions at different levels. To play tennis in Spain one only needs a sporty mood and a pair of tennis shoes.

Sailing

Spain has more than 4000 kilometres of coastline. As a peninsula, Spain is of course almost completely surrounded by the sea, or rather three seas: the Mediterranean Sea is the warmest, the Atlantic Ocean the most expansive and the Cantabrian Sea the most turbulent. There is a fourth sea in Spain, which is called the “inland sea”. consisting of navigable rivers, natural lakes and reservoirs. Winter sports

In the Spanish mountains there are more than thirty winter sport resorts in many different areas. From the Picos de Europa on the outskirts of Asturias, Cantabria and León to the Sierra Nevada in the south - with at the foot of this mountain range the Alhambra of Granada, a prime example of Arabic civil architecture in Spain - through the vast ski resorts of the Pyrenees that cover part of Aragon and Catalonia, not to mention the high peaks of the Sistema Central in Madrid or Segovia and the ridges of Galicia and La Rioja.
