The weather in Spain is very diverse. We go from places with mild temperatures, from about 15°C to others that exceed 40°C, especially in summer. Places with a humid maritime climate with annual rainfall to other places with a Mediterranean climate.
The climate on the Costa Blanca can be described as a dry Mediterranean climate with warm summers and mild winters. The average temperature is about 20°C per month, but has seasonal variations. There are months below 18 degrees and months warmer than 30 degrees. In spring and autumn you can have beautiful spring to summer weather, but you also have the chance of cloudy days with rain and sometimes a lot of wind. Especially in early spring the weather on the Costa Blanca is not very stable yet. In winter it is mild, locally sometimes sunny and warm.
The dry Mediterranean climate runs from the north of the province of Alicante to the southern tip of the Murcia region. Temperatures are very warm and dry in the long summer and very mild in the winter. Rainfall is very rare. The representative cities of this climate are Guardamar del Segura, Torrevieja, Alicante, Benidorm, Altea, Calp, Benissa, Moraira-Teulada, Denia, Jávea.
